Peer Review Process

Sriwijaya Foodtech Journal implements a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous to ensure objectivity and fairness in manuscript evaluation.

Steps in the Peer Review Process:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

    • All submitted manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team to assess their compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards.

    • Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage without external review.

  2. Peer Review by Experts

    • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.

    • The review process is conducted in a double-blind manner to maintain impartiality.

    • Reviewers assess the originality, scientific contribution, methodology, relevance of results, and clarity of writing.

  3. Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

    • Accept without revision

    • Accept with minor revision

    • Major revision required

    • Reject

  4. Editorial Decision

    • The editor evaluates the reviewers’ comments and makes the final decision regarding the manuscript.

    • Authors will be informed of the decision and, if revisions are needed, given the opportunity to resubmit the improved version.

  5. Revision and Re-evaluation

    • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editorial team.

    • Once the manuscript is deemed acceptable, it proceeds to copyediting and publication.
